WOR-TV became WWOR-TV sometime in the late 1980s under new management. In 1949 WOR was in Manhattan at 1480 Broadway. However, the station moved to Secaucus to a new color facility after they parted ways from RKO General due to difficulties with their ownership. The station was renamed WWOR as a result.
