(20:20) The station was known as WAKR from 1953 until 1986, when the call sign was changed to WAKC (seen in the clip after this one). The call sign was changed again in 1998 to WVPX-TV after being acquired by Paxson Communications, and it continues to operate with that call sign to this day under the ION Television banner.
You mean like KVLY 11 was under the NBC peacock and on the valley’s choice for local news! In a white box before Mick KJar says, “Good morning! I’m @ this hour (10:00 am)!” While he’s the meteorologist rerunning on NBC in 2000?
You mean like devils lake-grand forks was under WDAZ 8, on the line, and beside the ABC logo after Milo smith and Jane Joyce meet pat Sweeney on the WDAZ closing @ 6:29 pm rerunning on ABC in 2000?
WOR-TV became WWOR-TV sometime in the late 1980s under new management. In 1949 WOR was in Manhattan at 1480 Broadway. However, the station moved to Secaucus to a new color facility after they parted ways from RKO General due to difficulties with their ownership. The station was renamed WWOR as a result.

Such simple videos, but some fun blasts to the past here. Thanks for compiling.
(2:38) "9 Stands for News" is from WCPO in Cincinnati (now an ABC affiliate). Strange that they didn't do a full station ident there!
I'm glad we're able to see these again but in high quality.
I hope we’ll see more of these ID Memorabilia videos soon. I liked them on the old channel they were on. They’re very relaxing to me
Lots of Danny Dark is being heard in these station ID's (WNBC-TV, New York City, KYW-TV, Philadelphia and KNBC-TV, Los Angeles).
